Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)

Several times a year, the police and fire rescue departments work together to offer adult and teen Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) certification classes to our residents and business owners who are looking to help the community in its time of need. 

Educate yourself about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact our area and learn basic response skills such as:

  • Disaster Preparedness
  • Fire Suppression
  • Light Search and Rescue
  • Team Organization
  • First Aid and Triage Operations
  • Disaster Psychology
  • Terrorism and more

Classes consist of four (4) evenings (one night a week) and one (1) Saturday morning practice drill.  Classes are held at the main police headquarters and the fire training facility.
