|Pembroke Pines Citizens' Police Academy|
The Pembroke Pines Police Department in conjunction with the Pembroke Pines Fire Department will be establishing a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). Both the police and fire chiefs are excited and fully support this program. We as an agency appreciate the efforts from the citizens of this wonderful community, and are asking for your time and support of this valuable program. The CERT team will be responsible for assisting both the police and fire departments in a wide variety of functions from a disaster incident to training. The course will be 20 hours long and would be held on 4 nights and 1 day time drill. For a comprehensive look at the program and what CERT entails, you can check out the website at ttp://www.citizencorps.gov/cert/. After the successful completion of this course, there will be quarterly training opportunities in order to keep the basic skills and to learn more advanced skills and techniques. Your participation is a critical component to the success of the organization. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to email the CERT Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 954-436-3274.
As always, Be Safe, and we look forward to working with you in the future!
